I've been away...

to the farm. I took the kids to see their grandparents. It is a three hour drive towards the South Australian border. We took off on Monday afternoon and got there in time for dinner, and then came home on Friday.

While we were there, I worked hard on my crocheting and stitcheries :) In other words, I had a lovely holiday from cooking and cleaning and I just got to relax and stitch!!

I finished the little crocheted blanket:

I used four balls of yarn. Of course I could have gone on and made it bigger, but I didn't want to go and buy more balls. This is a nice little size to go over my knees as we approach winter.

I caught up with all the Veranda Views! Yay! I really love this project. I have to say that I enlarged the pattern... I was just not coping with the tiny size. I haven't taken any photos yet. I need to iron them and then I will take some tomorrow.

Now that I am back, I can keep going with quilting all the stuff I pinned last week :) And only 7 more sleeps until Alice comes to play.... woooohoooo! Can't wait!!!

I've just bought some fabric to start the stitching for Verandah Views. So sometime in the next couple of weeks I'll begin. I've a little cottage garden stitchery to finish first. It won't take long at all and I'll be able to get started.

Oh goody :) I can't wait to see your colors! Is the cottage garden one you were working on at Inverloch the one you need to finish still? It was tiny! So you will do well with the Veranda Views and not need to enlarge it like I did!LOL!
I forgot how to do the colonial knot :( But I seem to be doing some form of knot.. who knows what it is!
