So, what did I manage to do yesterday? I made a dent in the ironing pile.. that has to count for something, right? I ironed some stitcheries that I finished a few weeks ago so that I could take photos for you all to see. These are from Nice People Nice Things.

Friends and Home, both very nice :)

I really should get started with getting the borders on and working out the "quilt as you go" method. These are the fabrics that I chose to do this quilt with:

Aren't they yummy?! And they are just sitting there in a tub patiently waiting to be used. Maybe I will take them to Perth and try to work on them there....
I traced the rest of Veranda Views, and made a start on one of them. I also fiddled around with a pencil and made a little design for something I am making for myself:

Oh yes, I finished "Believe" on Friday.

Must trace "Delight" before the next one comes out in a few days!
So what shall I do today? I really want to take a few more photos in daylight hours of the cookbook chooks for the tutorial. And.... well, there must be some sewing project I could work on??? I need to do a little bit of school planning, but mostly I am organized there.
I am going to get off the computer and do something :) Hope you are all having a good weekend!

Your fabric is yummy. Such pretty colors and patterns. I went to the hobby store to buy a beginning embroidory kit (maybe some simple dishtowels) and they were so expensive! I could not bear to pay that much. I think I will go to the thrift store and see if I can find something to practice and play around on.
I love the first back stitch - nice friendship present! Hint? Those fabrics are yummy! Did you buy those? They are packaged so nicely!!
You should've come with us I guess for the girls weekend - I have finished snow flake medallion (photos to go on FB later) and almost the whole top for my quilting groups 2009 challenge. I traced out the first block for Breast of Friends BOM. I got the DMC and other necessaries tonight. So it is ready to go!!
Yes Mama Hen, quilting and embroidery stuff are not cheap! It is better to get the items on their own rather than in a kit I think. you can find lots of patterns in magazines...
Glad you had a great weekend Yvonne! You got lots done! Can't wait to see the photos :)
